The Nevada Council on Food Security 2024 Annual Report stated that COVID-19 completely altered the food landscape, stunting “Nevada’s progress in addressing food insecurity”. Nevada has undergone an “unprecedented increase in the need for food and nutrition services statewide”.
The Northern Nevada Dream Center helps address this need by distributing food to individuals and families through our Reach the Hungry program, a mobile, stationary and door-to-door food pantry for those suffering from food insecurity. On average, we feed more than 1,500 people each month. Over the course of a year, more than half a million meals are distributed to our neighbors and friends living in Northern Nevada.
