Meet Miesha

Miesha

In March 2015, a single mother and her two young daughters arrived in Carson City, searching for stability after nearly two years of homelessness. With no support from family or friends, they found themselves living in a motel—one of many they had cycled through in their struggle to survive.

One day, a simple flyer changed everything. The Northern Nevada Dream Center was offering a free Sunday dinner, providing not just a warm meal but a glimpse of hope. That first encounter marked the beginning of a transformative journey.

The Dream Center became a pillar of support for this family, offering consistent encouragement, practical resources, and access to a children’s ministry that provided transportation to church. When the family finally moved into an apartment, they had nothing—but the Dream Center stepped in, providing furniture, bedding, kitchen essentials, clothing, and more.

Today, this mother and her daughters are thriving, deeply grateful for the kindness and generosity that helped them rebuild their lives. Their story is a testament to the mission of the Northern Nevada Dream Center: to serve, uplift, and remind people that they are not alone.
